Talents

In the Parable of the five, two and one talents each servant doubles his talent except the last. Even though the one with five worked to get ten and the one with two worked to get four, they receive the same reward! This shows us that God isn't as concerned about the quantity we accomplish with our talents, rather how much we use them.

Humility and Love

Jesus tells us that the Greatest Commandment is love for God and secondly love for man. Doesn't this tell you that Love is possibly the greatest attribute of a Christian?
Humility is another characteristic that is emphasized heavily in the Bible. God gives grace to the humble. Have you ever met a proud loving person? Of course not. Pride and Love don't mix anymore than light and darkness. Humility is the key to Love.
Philipians 2:4
"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." This is talking about Humility but doesn't this also describe love?

I Corinithians 13:13
"...but the greatest of these is love."

Jesus was loving, but he was a servant too. See the relation? In order to love you need to be humble.

Getting in the way

Is my life getting in the way of God? Or is God leading me to begin with? These are questions Christians should daily be asking themselves. It's hard to do that, and we should daily be praying for the LORD to open our eyes that we can see where we may not be serving him wholeheartedly or giving the glory to Him where he deserves it.

A life not serving God isn't a life....because life was given to be given back to God in service and love.
