Humility and Love

Jesus tells us that the Greatest Commandment is love for God and secondly love for man. Doesn't this tell you that Love is possibly the greatest attribute of a Christian?
Humility is another characteristic that is emphasized heavily in the Bible. God gives grace to the humble. Have you ever met a proud loving person? Of course not. Pride and Love don't mix anymore than light and darkness. Humility is the key to Love.
Philipians 2:4
"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." This is talking about Humility but doesn't this also describe love?

I Corinithians 13:13
"...but the greatest of these is love."

Jesus was loving, but he was a servant too. See the relation? In order to love you need to be humble.

that's really good...it's not common that I see love and humility linked together, but you're absolutely right. One cannot show love while their heart is filled with pride. So do you think it's correct to say that love is a fruit of humility, or that they just exist coincidingly?

hmmm, good question. I would say, love is a fruit of humility. But that's just my opinion ;)
