Trials part 2

God allows us trials so we go to him and seek his help, but they way we do this is not by continually praying, "God help me.". It may seem to be the right thing, it is, but it's not all. God wants us to seek Him. He doesn't want to see us just seek relief or help, but to devote our soul efforts to God. In short, if you're not willing to live 100% for God, don't expect him to help you through problems. Many times he uses suffering to bring us to our knees so that we are willing to throw away anything that may have a grip on us that's holding us back from serving Him.
C.S Lewis said something to this effect,
"Suffering is God's microphone to deaf world."

Trials

I have been going through a trial for quite a while. I never understood why. Finally I realized that God was allowing me to suffer so that I would get back on track with him and confess many of my unchanged habits. Recently I have been realizing how much God requires us to change into his image, not into the "Comfortable Christian".

Job Offer

Being a Christian is a fulltime job, no vacations, countless benefits, full coverage, the best retirement, and a Boss who cares.

Proverbs 28:13

Proverbs 28:13
"He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them find mercy."
If we aren't confessing our sin and asking for forgiveness from God, we shouldn't expect mercy. Daily we should seek forgiveness so that daily we can receive mercy.
