Thought from Proverbs 10

Proverbs 10:11
"The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked."

I want to think about that first part in that verse. The righteous words should be words of life. Words of life, what exactly does that mean? That question can be answered in two ways, in the secular realm and in the spiritual realm. In answer to the secular we would say that it means good people speak good words and bad people have bad language. Now let's go to the spiritual answer. The righteous are speaking of Jesus and the Life he offers, they are overflowing with the gospel! But the wicked speak of the "delight" of violence.

Proverbs 10:19
"When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise."

This seems to counteract the previous verse I mentioned. But I don't think that it does. Rather it states that we need to look for God's guidence in our language. If we don't watch what we say, sin will enter our words.
