Thought to think about #11
Have you every looked into Ecclesiastes? Solomon learned one of thes most valuable lessons in life, material possesions+me = unhappiness. Why don't we learn? We always are looking for happiness in things! I challenge you this week to try to find happiness in the LORD not man.

yup, to me it was a real blessing, it is very convicting.
Hey Keith! Nice to see a fellow Pennsylvanian :-) Catholicism is so prevalent in NW Pennsylvania, too. I like to joke that in my part of the state, the Baptist churches are omitted from the phone books to make more space for the Catholic ones.
I really like your blog. Your thoughts are great. I look forward to coming back again!
What a coincidence! (Except I don't believe in coincidences...) We are both fifteen year old tenth graders and we have brothers and we live in the state of PA. Who'd have thunk? Are you homeschooled?

You are absolutely right that material possessions do not bring happiness. You are very blessed and way ahead of most 15 year olds to realize this at your age. You have a very nice site.

Hey thanks a lot for encouraging me and stopping by! It is a REALLY big encouragement! :D (just imagine that 10X that size!)
Bigger, ;) ;P
If you get the chance read through ecclestiastes it is a real help.
It is not simply "material possessions + me = unhappiness." The key thing missing from the equation is God. King David was very rich (omittedly not as wealthy as Solomon), but he had God and thus he had peace. You can have material possessions and be happy. But if you don't have God (or if you've strayed) you will not have the peace. Thanks and God Bless.
